Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

While Cousin Kristyn was in town we went to visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It was Jameson's first trip to the zoo, and he LOVED it! We are in the process of creating a room for him that will currently serve as a playroom and we will work him into it being his next "big boy" bedroom. It is called Jameson's Jungle! It is a safari themed room with giant animals! He loved all of the animals at the zoo, and can see them all now in his playroom. I'll post piks when we get it done!

It was a very chilly day in the Springs in JUNE!! So Jameson had to bundle up in his Lion hat, which EVERYONE in the zoo (the people, not the animals) commented on how cute it was!

Jameson and Kristyn loved feeding the giraffes. He called them "jaja"!

This one wanted to eat Jameson's fingers!!

Jameson loved the bird sanctuary! You can get birdfeed on a popsicle stick to feed them, and they will light on the stick in your hand. I think he was just amazed at them. He kept trying to grab them!! It was SUPER cool!

And then he thought he might like a little taste of that birdfeed!!

Cousin Kristyn thought feeding the birds was pretty cool too!

This was the coolest exhibit, I just wish we could've captured it on camera! The bear is swimming in a pond and he is fishing for dinner. You are seperated from the bear and the "rest" of his dinner by a somewhat thin sheet of glass. You can watch the bear swim all about, and then he turned and was pawing at a little girl on our side of the glass! It was pretty crazy! Definitely convinces me that I don't want to meet one of these guys in the Rocky mountains!!

We all got to hold a little snake, well, Jameson wasn't very interested in that!!

Kristyn got to go horseback riding!!

Then Kristyn rode a plastic horse...round and round and round...

Jameson was not interested in the Merry Go Round! At this point, he was pretty much not interested in anything! After a very eventful day at the zoo...it was naptime!
