The National Anthem

This is an amazing video clip. It will give you chills, and perhaps make your eyes water! What an amazing tribute to our troops, our country and our future!

"If you want to hear the National Anthem done to perfection by a group
of young Ladies that will give you goose bumps, turn up the sound and
sit back, they should have been chosen for the Super Bowl.
This is at a Texas Tech University Basketball game, Feb 9th, our
National Anthem being sung by five young ladies, sisters between the ages of 5 and 9!!. It's never sounded better than this! An entire arena remains completely silent throughout the entire song. I mean you could hear a pin drop."

Happy Independence Day!!

We went camping in South Fork, Colorado over the 4th of July weekend. It was our last camping trip in our little 19 foot camper...our family is quite too large...with an infant and 220 lbs of dog!! We had a GREAT time, GREAT weather, 25 feet from the Rio Grande river. Jameson is at a great age for exploring the ground, rocks, dirt, sticks and anything else that he comes across along his path.

These are his Patriotic overalls!!

He enjoyed hauling rocks around in his dumptruck.

Boudreaux

Boudreaux and Thibadeaux in the water and...

sweet little BoBo. This the nearly stray Shitzu (no idea how to spell that) that hung out with us all weekend long! He loved our boys and Jameson. We almost adopted him, saving him from an unpleasant existence...but things just didn't work out. He is very sweet and such a great little campground host!

Now that's a stick!!!

Jameson has begun loving and snuggling on the boys quite a bit! Well, that, and climbing on top of them and underneath them! They are both so patient and gentle with him. Here he is with Boudreaux...

And here with Thibadeaux...

I'm pretty sure he just had this rock in his mouth!

Konked out with Lennie the Lamb...the little lamb puppet that he latched onto while we were in Poor Richard's (a great little toy store downtown) and wouldn't let go of. After 30 minutes looking around the store I tried to pry Lennie from his hands and he went ballistic! This happened twice. Those of you who know my baby, know that he just does not go ballistic! So I figured it was NOT manipulation...but TRUE LOVE. And I was right. Lennie the Lamb has become his "lovey", as some people say. He plays with him while relaxing in bed and holds onto his leg most of the time while asleep (see below). It is TOO cute. And I'm not THAT gullible:)

Cousin Kristyn comes to town!!

Jameson's cousin Kristyn came to visit for 17 days in June. Here are some pictures of her and Jameson hanging out together around the house. Jameson had such a fun time having a "big sister" around to play with.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

While Cousin Kristyn was in town we went to visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It was Jameson's first trip to the zoo, and he LOVED it! We are in the process of creating a room for him that will currently serve as a playroom and we will work him into it being his next "big boy" bedroom. It is called Jameson's Jungle! It is a safari themed room with giant animals! He loved all of the animals at the zoo, and can see them all now in his playroom. I'll post piks when we get it done!

It was a very chilly day in the Springs in JUNE!! So Jameson had to bundle up in his Lion hat, which EVERYONE in the zoo (the people, not the animals) commented on how cute it was!

Jameson and Kristyn loved feeding the giraffes. He called them "jaja"!

This one wanted to eat Jameson's fingers!!

Jameson loved the bird sanctuary! You can get birdfeed on a popsicle stick to feed them, and they will light on the stick in your hand. I think he was just amazed at them. He kept trying to grab them!! It was SUPER cool!

And then he thought he might like a little taste of that birdfeed!!

Cousin Kristyn thought feeding the birds was pretty cool too!

This was the coolest exhibit, I just wish we could've captured it on camera! The bear is swimming in a pond and he is fishing for dinner. You are seperated from the bear and the "rest" of his dinner by a somewhat thin sheet of glass. You can watch the bear swim all about, and then he turned and was pawing at a little girl on our side of the glass! It was pretty crazy! Definitely convinces me that I don't want to meet one of these guys in the Rocky mountains!!

We all got to hold a little snake, well, Jameson wasn't very interested in that!!

Kristyn got to go horseback riding!!

Then Kristyn rode a plastic horse...round and round and round...

Jameson was not interested in the Merry Go Round! At this point, he was pretty much not interested in anything! After a very eventful day at the zoo...it was naptime!

MotorCycle Daddy!!

Dada's looking kinda scary! Not sure about that helmet thingy!!

Papaw on his new bike!

Me and Dada checking out this bad machine!!!

Jameson sitting on Papaw's bike...CAREFUL with my baby!!!

The guys just completed a 2 day 1,100 mile journey from Little Rock, AR to Monument, CO! What a great ride into God's country!!

Dada's new motorcycle! I can't wait to ride it...in a VERY VERY long time!!!

Uncle Duane's new motorcycle!
